Dachigam National Park

Forests The park is characterized by dense forests of coniferous trees, including fir, pine, and spruce. There are also broadleaf trees such as walnut, oak, and maple.

Kashmir Stag (Hangul) The park is the last stronghold of the critically endangered Hangul deer, which is a subspecies of the European red deer.

Himalayan Black Bear Commonly sighted in the park, especially during the summer and autumn.

Leopard:  Although elusive, leopards inhabit the park and can occasionally be spotted.

Musk Deer Another important species, often found in the higher elevations of the park.

Other Species:  Includes Himalayan serow, langur, red fox, and a variety of smaller mammals.
